International student cuts risk a 'very significant hole', universities warn the Coalition
The Herald and The Age reported universities warning that the Coalition's cut to international students would leave a very significant hole in their finances. Angus Taylor, asked on Thursday, played down the concern, according to the ABC's politics blog. The AFR said earlier this week the education sector faces a bleak future as the parties unite on student cuts.
Universities rely heavily on fee-paying international students.
If you work in or study at a university, expect cuts to staff and courses if student numbers fall.
The Coalition has not published costings.
