Firmus float hangs 'on the precipice' as investor scepticism grows

The AFR reported on Thursday that Firmus's float was on the precipice as investor scepticism grew, that turning sentiment had becalmed it, and that dilution clauses were driving price talks behind the scenes. The ABC said the nation's second-largest ASX float was in doubt, and the Guardian said its high-flying valuation may be coming back to earth. Earlier reports put a cut price at $8.25 against an initial $11. We saw no ASX notice of new terms or a withdrawal by early Friday.

It is the biggest test yet of whether Australian investors will fund the AI build-out at the prices on offer.

Many super funds would hold some Firmus if it lists. Nothing changes for you until it does.

Watch for a company or ASX notice today; until then every number is provisional.
