Ontario to start removing Toronto bike lanes next week

The Ontario government will begin removing bike lanes along stretches of Bloor Street, Yonge Street and University Avenue in Toronto next week, The Globe and Mail reported. We found no second outlet in our feed and no court response yet.

It is a provincial decision on a municipal street, which is the heart of a long dispute between Queen's Park and the city.

Cyclists in downtown Toronto will lose protected space; drivers may gain a lane.

Watch for a court challenge and for the city's response.
