Carney takes a last-minute unity pitch to Calgary as Alberta’s referendum looms
Mark Carney spoke in Calgary on Thursday ahead of Alberta’s referendum, urging voters to choose No to the Nine. CBC reported the message, and La Presse and Le Devoir described the event. Pierre Poilievre also brought a pro-unity message to Alberta the same day.
A close vote could reshape national politics.
It affects federal-provincial relations for everyone.
Unity is not uniformity, the prime minister said.
