109 migrants, 15 of them children, die when a boat sinks off Djibouti
At least 109 people, including 15 children, died when a boat travelling from Djibouti to Yemen capsized near the port town of Obock on Thursday night, a UN agency said, according to the BBC, Sky News and Reuters. About 350 people were on board.
The route across the Gulf of Aden is one of the world's busiest and most dangerous for migrants from the Horn of Africa.
No direct effect on readers; aid agencies are appealing for support.
Watch for the UN's final count and for any search for survivors.
