Poland detains a man suspected of plotting to kill Prime Minister Tusk

Polish police said on Sunday they had credible information about a possible attack on Prime Minister Donald Tusk and defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and Mr Tusk said a man accused of plotting to kill him had been detained, the BBC, the Guardian and AP reported. The Telegraph described a plot to cause mass murder. Separately, Mr Tusk said a run of school stabbings in Poland was driven by the online glorification of violence.

Threats to a European head of government and his defence minister come as Poland is on the front line of support for Ukraine.
