Saudi Arabia probes how its air defences failed at Riyadh airport. Airlines cancel flights, the death toll is put at 13 and oil rises

Saudi authorities are investigating why air defences failed to stop the Houthi attacks on Riyadh airport, AP reported. CBS and CNA put the death toll from the first strike at 13. Airlines cancelled flights, the airport extended its suspension, and Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia condemned the attacks. Wall Street ended mixed: the S&P 500 fell 0.06% to 7,807.24 and the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.44% to 27,245.90.

Attacks on a major airport raise the risk to oil supply and to air travel across the Gulf.
