109 migrants dead and 116 missing after boat capsizes off Djibouti
A boat travelling from Djibouti to Yemen capsized, leaving 109 dead and 116 missing, the UN migration agency said (Reuters, BBC, RTÉ, the Journal). Fifteen of the dead were children.
The route across the Gulf of Aden is one of the deadliest for migrants.
No direct effect, but Irish aid agencies often appeal after such disasters.
Watch for the final count and for any rescue figures.
