China and North Korea open a long-stalled bridge

Reuters reported trucks lining up as the long-delayed China–North Korea bridge officially opened, after it had earlier reported the date as 15 October. Bloomberg said the two countries opened the long-stalled bridge, boosting trade. Neither headline gave the bridge's name or the cargo volume.

A new crossing makes it easier to move goods between the two countries.

Little direct effect for Irish readers, though it is a signal of how trade between the two states is developing.

Watch for what crosses, and how.
