Sri Lanka arrests former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa over graft allegations
Sri Lanka arrested former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa over graft allegations, The Hindu and NDTV reported. NDTV says the Rajapaksa family is under pressure after the arrest.
It is a sign the post-crisis government is pursuing the old ruling family.
Sri Lanka is a key partner for India; political stability there matters to trade and security.
Details of the charges are thin so far. Wait for the court filing.
