Delhi Police registered fresh FIRs against Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi over the INDIA bloc protest; The Indian Express counts three, The Hindu at least two. The allegations include assaulting police and vandalising a police vehicle. Priyanka Gandhi said police scratched her. CEC Gyanesh Kumar's security was raised to Z+. The INDIA bloc seeks presidential intervention. The Delhi High Court agreed to hear the IYC's plea to protest at Jantar Mantar on 9 October.
The row is now a legal one on both sides: the opposition's FIRs and the CEC case in the Supreme Court.
