Wall Street slips as higher yields and oil raise inflation worries

On Thursday the S&P 500 fell 0.47 per cent to 7,765.36, the Nasdaq 1.25 per cent to 27,193.34 and the Dow rose 0.10 per cent to 51,231.64. The 10-year yield was 5.231 per cent, down 4.6 bp after a solid 30-year auction. Reuters said higher yields and oil flagged inflation risk, and Fed Governor Waller said more hikes are needed, with flexibility on pace.

US yields and oil are the drivers of FPI flows into India.

Expect a cautious open for the Nifty.
