Court orders Accord Party to submit Olawepo-Hashim as its presidential candidate
Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court, Abuja, held that Accord breached the Electoral Act 2026 and directed INEC to accept Olawepo-Hashim as the party's candidate once submitted (Arise, Legit, Blueprint, Frontier Brief). He had also sought, in the alternative, a fresh primary. The judge's name is spelled slightly differently across outlets.
Candidate lists for 2027 are settled partly in court; this ruling shows how internal party fights end up before judges.
If you follow the ballot, expect appeals to delay clarity on who is on it.
Olawepo-Hashim says the party must honour its own primary.
The Adeleke faction can appeal.
An order to submit is not yet a ballot place. Watch for an appeal.
