Camera-based traffic fines resume in four Metro Manila cities; two others hold off
The No-Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP), which fines drivers from camera footage, resumed on October 5 in Manila, Muntinlupa, Quezon City and San Juan after the Supreme Court lifted a restraining order, Philstar reported. Valenzuela suspended its rollout because of road works, and Parañaque deferred to study its scheme (Philstar, Autoindustriya). An earlier plan was for six cities.
Fines apply to cameras on major roads, so drivers can be penalised without being stopped.
Check whether your route passes through the four cities and keep your vehicle registration and address up to date to receive notices.
Cities are rolling out unevenly; watch for disputes over fines and appeals.
