Paolo Duterte questions need to testify on a dismissed policeman’s cash-delivery claims
Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte questioned the need to appear before the National Bureau of Investigation over claims by dismissed policeman Rodulfo Gracioso Jr. that suitcases of cash were delivered to him and relatives by former House speaker Lord Allan Velasco. Duterte said that if Gracioso passed a lie-detector test, his own testimony should not be needed (Inquirer, Philstar). The claims are unproven.
The allegation adds to the money questions around the Duterte family now before the Senate.
No direct effect on households; it is part of the wider accountability debate.
Single claimant, no documents shown. Hold judgement until the NBI releases anything.
