Marcos returns from Singapore citing new investments, and says he is serious about nuclear power
Marcos returned on Monday from his working visit to Singapore, saying it brought a stronger partnership, new investment and more opportunities for Filipinos, and pointing to his participation in the Forbes Global CEO Conference (Manila Times). He also said he is serious about establishing nuclear power in preparation for high power demand from AI and data centres (GMA News, Philstar).
Power supply is a constraint on data-centre and factory investment, and the grid is already strained.
Nuclear plans are long-term; they do not change bills soon.
Ask for a timetable, a site and a cost. A stated intention is not yet a project.
