Marcos names SSS chief Robert de Claro as new DICT secretary after Henry Aguda resigns
President Marcos named Social Security System (SSS) president and chief executive Robert de Claro as the new secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) (Inquirer, GMA News, Rappler, Philstar, Manila Times). Philstar described the post as interim. Henry Aguda resigned from the post, and ABS-CBN reported that he thanked Marcos as he left.
DICT runs the government’s digital and cybersecurity programmes, and the post has changed hands.
A new head may shift priorities on online scams and government digital services. Nothing changes for now.
