PTI redraws the march: Peshawar on Thursday night, then Charsadda, Mardan and Swabi, with a “final plan” promised on 11 October
PTI announced a revised schedule for the long march (ARY News, Minute Mirror, The Pakistan Connect). The convoy reaches Peshawar from Khyber on Thursday night, 8 October, goes to Charsadda on Friday, Mardan on Saturday and Swabi on Sunday 11 October. Afridi says the final plan will be announced after Swabi and will pressure opponents. Dawn’s headline said the convoy had entered Peshawar on the fifth day. A claim of 3,000 workers in Peshawar was not confirmed. The government says no march on Islamabad.
The change moves the decision point from Thursday to Sunday, which gives both sides more time and keeps the standoff alive.
More days of roadblocks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PTI says the longer route is about meeting supporters province-wide.
Government voices say the slower pace shows the march has lost momentum.
A longer calendar is not a weaker one. What matters is whether the numbers grow between Peshawar and Swabi, and whether the Centre feels forced to act first.
