Haze holds: PSI unhealthy across most of the island as PM2.5 rises in four regions

The 24-hour PSI was in the unhealthy range across most or all of Singapore on 6 October. CNA reported PM2.5 levels elevated in four regions. At 6am, readings were 107 in the north, 112 in the east, 117 in the west and 130 in the central region; the south was moderate at 95.

A second consecutive day of unhealthy air raises health risks for vulnerable groups.

Check the PSI before outdoor exercise and keep children's outdoor activity short.

Watch the wind forecast. A shift away from south-easterlies is the only quick fix.
