Hackers heat French supermarket fridges, causing fires and food losses
Hackers forced the temperature of many French supermarket fridges up to 50°C overnight, causing fires and food losses at several hundred stores, Reuters reported via the Straits Times; Paris prosecutors confirmed the attack. The Guardian said an estimated 150 to 200 Intermarché shops and almost 100 Cooperative U outlets were targeted, and called the attack unprecedented. CNA also reported it. DailyDrop has not seen who is behind it.
