Apple launches a US$299 HomeView hub to bring its AI-powered Siri into the home
Apple launched HomeView, a US$299 smart-home hub with a screen, as a showcase for its updated AI-powered Siri (Straits Times, CNA, CNET). The launch came with updates to the HomePod smart speaker and Apple TV (Straits Times). HardwareZone said the new HomePod mini 2 gets a Sound Glow feature and will eventually support the Siri AI.
The smart-home market is where Amazon and Google compete, and Apple is using its new Siri to enter it.
If you use Apple devices at home, the hub is a new option at US$299. DailyDrop has not seen Singapore pricing or a local release date.
