Ukraine says Starlink limits crippled its drone missions as Zelensky vows to resume refinery strikes. Officials say the U.S. still shares intelligence

Ukraine accused SpaceX of crippling drone missions by limiting its military-grade Starlink service, Reuters, PBS NewsHour, NBC News and the Guardian reported. A presidential aide made the charge, Reuters said, and the Guardian reported that soldiers in combat lost access. The Financial Times said Kyiv was blindsided by the limits and by gaps in intelligence during a Russian attack. The Independent and MS NOW reported that Elon Musk blamed Trump, and smaller outlets relayed his statement that the U.S. government may be behind the slowdown. CBS News reported that Ukrainian officials accuse the U.S. of withholding intelligence before a Russian missile strike; the New York Times reported that officials say the U.S. continues to provide it. Russian strikes left 600,000 people without power, Zelensky said, according to ABC News, CNBC and Reuters. Politico and Reuters, citing the Financial Times, reported that he said Ukraine will resume strikes on Russian refineries.

Satellite internet links Ukraine’s drones, artillery and command posts, and U.S. intelligence tells it what Russia is about to hit. If either weakens, the front line feels it within days. Both are now in dispute.

The link to you is fuel. The diesel deal and Ukraine’s refinery strikes both bear on the supply behind U.S. diesel prices, which CBS cited an analyst expecting to hit a record this month.

Musk says Washington may be behind the slowdown; he offered no evidence in the reports we saw.

Ukraine’s aide says SpaceX limited the service; we saw no SpaceX statement, and officials say the U.S. still shares intelligence.

Three claims are in play, and none is settled: who limited Starlink and why, whether intelligence sharing was threatened, and whether Ukraine will resume refinery strikes. The first test is plain: does Starlink service come back, and does anyone on the record explain why it was cut.
