Western Cape education department due to respond today on diesel relief for learner transport
The WCED said it would give a substantive response on Friday 9 October on the cost implications for learner-transport operators, who resumed services on 7 October after a one-day stoppage that affected 21,934 learners (EWN, WCED statement). The Western Cape is the only province engaging on diesel relief.
A diesel adjustment would set a precedent for other provinces.
If your child uses learner transport, expect a statement today.
