A busy Monday: ANC Constitutional Court bid, the Lungisa ruling and the special-vote deadline
Monday 12 October: the ANC's Constitutional Court bid over 181 candidates is reported rescheduled to that date (EWN, one outlet); the Johannesburg High Court is expected to rule on Andile Lungisa's removal from the ANC list (EWN, Briefly, TimesLIVE); special-vote applications close at 17:00 (SAnews, EWN, SABC News). The MTBPS is on 21 October (BusinessTech).
Court rulings now decide who is on the ballot in a month, and the special-vote deadline is a hard stop.
Apply for a special vote by 17:00 on Monday if you need one. Check that you are registered at your station.
Do not treat the ConCourt date as settled until it appears on the roll. Dates have moved before.
