ANC expels three Ekurhuleni councillors before the elections
IOL reported that the ANC in Ekurhuleni expelled three councillors over alleged electoral misconduct. The Citizen described it as a pre-election crackdown and said a fourth councillor was ordered to step aside. The reports we read did not set out the misconduct.
Parties are policing their own ranks as local government elections approach, and Ekurhuleni is one of Gauteng's biggest metros.
