Budget talks: culture credit for 16-year-olds axed, departments offered two-thirds of requests

The Irish Examiner reported, citing unnamed sources, that a €100 culture credit for 16-year-olds was swiftly axed in the talks and that some departments were offered about two-thirds of the money they sought. It shows how tight the 6% limit is.

Services you use may see smaller increases than their departments wanted.
