Haze forces organisers to cancel the Kids Dash as the skies stay grey
Organisers of the KL marathon cancelled the Kids Dash over haze concerns (Malay Mail, 2 Oct), and NST photographed hazy skies over Cheras on Saturday 3 October. DailyDrop did not see an air quality index reading for the weekend.
Smoke from fires has been affecting the region for weeks, and it can close schools and cancel events.
Check the Department of Environment’s air quality index before outdoor exercise.
Haze is the story to watch this week. DailyDrop will report readings once confirmed.
