Key voting dates: overseas voting opens 21 October, enrolment closes 25 October

Election day is Saturday 7 November. Overseas voting opens on Wednesday 21 October and closes at 7pm NZ time on 7 November; enrolment or updates must be done by midnight on Sunday 25 October (Electoral Commission guidance via MFAT and vote.nz). Papers are not posted automatically; the quickest way is to download them from vote.nz. Eligibility rules changed for this election.
