Luxon and Hipkins meet in the first leaders' debate on TVNZ tonight
TVNZ confirmed a live leaders' debate between Chris Hipkins and Christopher Luxon (1News, 20 August). NZME has announced a series of its own debates, starting on Wednesday 7 October (NZME). Tuesday 6 October is the date given for the first TVNZ debate, moderated by Jack Tame.
Debates are the few moments when both leaders face the same questions.
