Police say the pool of blood found in a Wellington underpass was not suspicious
Police said a large pool of human blood found in the Coutts St pedestrian underpass in Rongotai, Wellington, was “not of a suspicious nature” (Stuff, 1News). 1News said it was found on 4 October. RNZ reported that the woman involved was bemused at how the community feared the worst. Police did not say, in the headlines we saw, what happened.
It had worried residents, and the answer ends the alarm.
Nothing to do. Police say it was not suspicious.
A good outcome, and a reminder that a rumour can run ahead of a police statement.
