Afridi invited people from across the country to Swabi Interchange on Sunday 11 October (Dawn). The Express Tribune quoted him saying PTI will unveil its “final plan” there, as the march entered its sixth day on Friday heading to Charsadda. The schedule in ARY News and Minute Mirror puts Mardan on Saturday and Swabi on Sunday. The Express Tribune also reported, citing sources, that the Centre had finalised preparations for an emergency in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which PTI called a violation of the 18th Amendment. No order had been issued.
Swabi is the last big stop before the corridor to Islamabad, so the Sunday announcement will show whether PTI heads for the capital. An emergency in 12 districts would be the most serious federal step in the province in years.
Expect closures, mobile-service disruption and heavy security on the Mardan–Swabi road this weekend.
PTI says the national invitation is a peaceful call to rally for Imran Khan’s release and that emergency talk is intimidation.
Federal ministers say a provincial government cannot be allowed to bring a march to the capital and that emergency powers exist for such cases.
Sunday is where the story either narrows or widens. Look for the number at Swabi, the route announced, and whether the Centre’s emergency stays on paper.

Afridi calls supporters from across the country to Swabi Interchange on Sunday as the Centre is reported to weigh an emergency in 12 districts
New since Thursday: the march entered its sixth day heading for Charsadda, PTI named the Swabi meeting point, and The Express Tribune reported federal preparations for emergency powers.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has invited people from across the country to join the PTI long march at Swabi Interchange on Sunday 11 October, Dawn reported. The march’s central demand remains the release of Imran Khan, the jailed party founder. The Express Tribune quoted him saying the party will unveil its “final plan” in Swabi, as the march entered its sixth day on Friday 9 October and headed to Charsadda, where the convoy was due to spend the night. ARY News and Minute Mirror carry the same schedule: Mardan on Saturday and Swabi on Sunday.
The Express Tribune also reported, citing sources, that the Centre had finalised preparations for an emergency in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; PTI called the proposal a violation of the 18th Amendment. No emergency or governor’s rule order had been issued by early Saturday, and DailyDrop has not seen an official confirmation of the 12-district plan.
