NBC reported Brent at about US$105 a barrel, with stocks tumbling as Trump considered renewed strikes on Iran, in its headline. Reuters headlined that Iran vowed to block more Hormuz routes, and ET Infra that vessel traffic through the strait fell to a two-month low after tanker attacks. WTI closed at US$91.50, up 3.60%.
The S&P 500 closed down 0.47% at 7,765.36 and gold edged up 0.20% to US$4,157.0. For Kenya, which imports its refined fuel, the move comes five days before the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority's monthly price review on the 14th. DailyDrop cannot say what the review will decide; it depends on landed costs over the review period.
